MEDTEQ, Quebec Consortium for Industrial Research and Innovation in Medical Technology
1Dans le cadre de son mandat d'animation de l'écosystème, MEDTEQ+ organise un événement aux 2 ans, le Sommet Innovation en santé MEDTEQ+, au cours duquel nous abordons diverses thématiques afin de faciliter l'intégration et l'adoption des technologies du secteur. En marge de cet événement, des discussions ont lieu afin de sensibiliser les parties prenantes aux enjeux et bloquants du secteur. MEDTEQ+ est le mandataire principale pour l'initiative envisAGE soutenue par le gouvernement du Canada dans le cadre du volet 5 du Fonds stratégique pour linnovation visant à apporter un soutien aux écosystèmes nationaux. envisAGE réunit MEDTEQ+, un chef de file de l'accélération de l'innovation et de l'entrepreneuriat dans l'industrie canadienne des technologies médicales, et AGE-WELL, le chef de file canadien de la recherche sur les technologies du vieillissement et des solutions technologiques. envisAGE est une initiative pancanadienne à grande échelle qui rassemble des intervenants afin de proposer des ressources et du soutien aux entreprises en démarrage et aux petites et moyennes entreprises (PME) pour les aider à valider et commercialiser leurs technologies répondant aux défis du vieillissement. Elles pourront ainsi établir leur leadership canadien sur le marché des technologies du vieillissement. MEDTEQ + a été récipiendaire du programme CECR octroyé en 2017. Le mandat CECR a permis à MEDTEQ+ de bénéficier dun soutien fédéral de 19,5 M$, soutenant ainsi la création du réseau Beachhead ainsi que du Fonds Invest. Des démarches sont en cours afin d'obtenir un financement additionnel pour soutenir la pérennisation du programme, mais aussi permettre à MEDTEQ+ de poursuivre sa mission de soutenir le développement et la commercialisation de technologie en santé canadienne. Soumission d'un projet dans le cadre du programme Innovation Canada ou autres. Les six domaines d'action suivants constituent le fondement du Programme d'innovation du gouvernement du Canada : Instaurer une société entrepreneuriale et créatrice Appuyer l'excellence scientifique à l'échelle mondiale Développer des grappes et des partenariats de calibre mondial Assurer la croissance des entreprises et accélérer la croissance propre Livrer concurrence dans un monde numérique Faciliter la conduite des affaires. MEDTEQ+ soutient le concept de grappes dans le secteur des sciences de la vie et d'autres secteurs porteurs. Participation aux consultations sur l'innovation dans le cadre du Programme Innovation Canada en ce qui a trait à Instaurer une société entrepreneuriale et créatrice Appuyer l'excellence scientifique à l'échelle mondiale Développer des grappes et des partenariats de calibre mondial dans le domaine des sciences de la vie et plus précisément des technologies médicales. MEDTEQ+ collabore avec le PARI/CNRC au programme daccompagnement personnalisé (Accélération Innovation) ciblant des PME innovantes en technologies médicales. Ce programme vise à solidifier leur stratégie R-D, à les rendre plus concurrentielles et à faciliter leur déploiement commercial. Le programme est constitué dune banque dheures pour chaque entreprise sélectionnée : expertise et coaching direct. La durée moyenne du programme étant de trois mois. Il vise, entre autres, à soutenir linnovation et accompagner les PME canadiennes du secteur des technologies médicales ainsi que capitaliser sur le réseau de MEDTEQ+ et du CNRC-PARI (Programme daide à la recherche industrielle du Conseil national de recherches Canada) et en synergie avec les accélérateurs/incubateurs existants ou toute autre structure daccompagnement pertinente du réseau.
