To provide input related to plans to combat climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as other policy initiatives including conservation, clean technology investments and renewable energy. To introduce Alectra's renewable energy projects to the federal government with the aim of identifying government grants, funding streams or any other relevant avenue in which Alectra's renewable projects may be considered for financial support. To advocate for changes to the definition of tax-exempt entities under the Federal Income Tax Act to allow for increased investment into the electricity sector.

Working with the government to provide support for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises and start ups, focusing on foodtech and the post-farm gate food supply chain, and assisting with commercialization and helping bring products and technology to market. Engaging with decision-makers to better educate them on the work of the Canadian Food Innovation Network Strategic Response Fund Cluster Stream, with respect to recapitalizing the program, CFIN's currently funded activities and resulting impacts, and the consideration of CFIN's Food 4.0 Proposal.

Discussion with government officials on trade policy and priorities including items controlled for import and export in Canada.
