La SFM vise à promouvoir et faire avancer le régime des langues officielles du Canada, y compris par le renforcement de son cadre règlementaire ainsi que la mise en place de mécanismes favorisant l'appui auprès des communautés de langue officielle en situation minoritaire, dont la francophonie manitobaine. La SFM vise à assurer un financement stable, durable et pluriannuel pour les organismes et initiatives de la francophonie manitobaine. La SFM vise à renforcer la cible nationale en matière d'immigration francophone ainsi que d'influencer les preneurs de décision en ce qui concerne le recrutement, l'accueil, la formation et la rétention des immigrant·es d'expression française. La SFM vise à influencer le ministère de la Justice afin d'assurer la nomination d'un plus grand nombre de juges francophones.
