Electricity - To work with the government regarding the country's electricity sector, goals for continued leadership in clean energy policies, and support for partnerships between First Nations and industry.

Arranging meetings and attending meetings for the purpose of discussing government policy as it relates to energy trade and interties between Canada and the United States, including renegotiation of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) and related trade issues. Engaging government stakeholders regarding the Clean Electricity Regulations, including development of a CER design that supports emissions reductions while maintaining reliability and affordability of the system. Encouraging the Government of Canada to support Energy Imbalance Markets (EIM), thereby allowing provinces to coordinate the operation of multiple electricity grids. Arranging meetings and attending meetings to: learn about Government of Canada initiatives related to climate change and GHG reduction; learn about electricity infrastructure and energy infrastructure; and discuss transmission interties, energy storage and energy generation, including how those tools can help Canada achieve net-zero clean electricity grid by 2035. Arranging meetings and attending meetings for the purpose of discussing potential funding for electricity transmission infrastructure and renewable energy generation, including through the Smart Renewables and Electrification Pathways Program and from the Canadian Infrastructure Bank.
