To discuss international project financing opportunities in engineering, construction management, large project delivery and financing, infrastructure and energy Global Affairs Canada (GAC) re engagement and support support of Canadian business abroad by the trade commissioners service. Support broadly for bilateral, regional and multilateral trade and services liberalization agreements as well as nuclear cooperation and other permits. This also includes policy support for Canada Account as well as Export Credit Financing. Federal nuclear policy related to large conventional nuclear reactors as well as small modular reactors. This includes financial and other contribution for the design of nuclear reactor technologies. Transportation -- Existing and future course of action associated with delivery of infrastructure projects. Support the federal government's priorities in the health sector. Recommendations on Federal policy re nuclear power development in Ontario, as well as in other Canadian provinces and territories. Nuclear Cooperation Agreements governing nuclear power services exports/trade to countries, inclusive of small modular reactor and new and existing reactor development globally. Infrastructure funding at the federal level, inclusive of the National Infrastructure Assessment, and new approaches to structure large infrastructure projects. Immigration policy with respect to improved business travel visa services; Foreign policies as they affect trade; maintaining and increasing diplomatic resources in various foreign markets; Federal priorities in the Canadian Mining and Energy sectors. Federal government priorities on transitioning to a lower carbon environment in Canada. Federal Budgets -- support for framework economic policies that support business development, economic growth and job creation, including infrastructure spending and renewal, innovation policy, support for the manufacturing sector, policy changes related to white collar crime, tax policy, regulatory policy, international development and trade, support for the trade commissioner service Efficient approval processes for major resources (energy, mining and metallurgy) projects

Advancing biofuels policy and the benefits of biofuels for canola farmers, processors, and rural communities. Working to secure market access for Canadian canola products Working on sustainability and biodiversity policy as it relates to the Canadian canola industry and agriculture sector. Working on rail and labour policy as it relates to the movement and export of canola and canola products. Working on innovation policy to drive growth and investment in the Canadian canola industry. Supporting multi-lateral and bi-lateral trade negotiations and the implementation of existing agreements to reduce tariffs and non-tariff trade barriers on canola and its products. Implementing a national water monitoring program that supports the environmental safety of plan protection products. Ensuring that the regulation of crop protection products and seed innovations are made using the best available science. Encouraging the development of an Agriculture Policy Framework that supports the competitiveness and growth of the canola sector, including support for the federal and shared funded programs through the Agricultural Policy Framework. Encouraging health/safety/environment approval framework for Plants with Novel Traits and plant breeding innovations that support innovation. Continue obtaining support to resolve market access issues and enhance canola utilization from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada's "Agri-Marketing" Program. Continue obtaining support for federal and jointly funded research programs though the Agricultural Policy Framework such as the AgriScience Cluster. The Cluster is a partnership between Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the canola industry to produce research that reduces production risk, improves yield, increases market demand and enhances focus on sustainability.

Supporting legislative changes to allow the electronic delivery of governance documents in the financial sector as proposed in the 2024 federal budget. Veterans Benefits including programs and policies that provide financial and other assistance to current and former members of the Canadian Armed Forces. The Pension Benefits Act and the Tax Act including annuities. The Income Tax Act and Budget 2023 proposal to change the tax treatment on Canadian dividends received by Canadian insurance companies. Standards for banking and health data (open banking, health information). Privacy, Human Rights and Insurance including the Privacy Act, Human Rights Act and the Canada Labour Code. Policies and programs related to Canada trade relations with other countries. Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Guidelines on Insurance and Banking. Insurance Companies Act and regulations. Healthcare policy, specifically in relating to, employee benefits programs, including long-term disability and drug benefit plans. Global Minimum Tax Act to promote international coordination and harmonization on the timing and operation. Ensuring the passage of Bill C-27 - the Consumer Privacy Protection Act as drafted by the government. Canada’s system and programs for detecting and deterring money laundering. Discussions surrounding the development of additional crude oil pipeline egress on B.C.'s West Coast Pan-Canadian energy strategy – discussions regarding the development of a national energy strategy, Canada’s role in the North American and global energy markets, US-Canada energy and trade relations and other trade related issues, including tariffs Discussions regarding the implementation of grants and investment tax credits for energy transition projects, such as carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS). Discussions and updates related to Pembina’s export projects in BC West Coast, such as the Prince Rupert propane export terminal, Vancouver wharves, and Cedar liquified natural gas (LNG) export terminal. Clean Fuel Regulations – discussions and input related to the implementation of the Clean Fuel Regulations and compliance pathways. Discussions around enabling policy and incentives for data centres and accompanying power generation Regulatory efficiency – discussions regarding the government’s approach towards streamlining regulatory process as they related to large energy infrastructure projects and pipelines. Market access and competitiveness - discussion regarding the government’s approach to opening new markets for Canadian oil and gas resources and related products to ensure full market value for Canadian hydrocarbons and other projects as yet in the proposal stage. Discussions related to the implementation of federal environmental assessment and environmental protection legislation. Discussions regarding the competitiveness of Canada’s energy sector, particularly related to pipelines and midstream energy issues, including environmental protection and safety, Indigenous engagement, federal procurement decisions, and sector investment. Climate change policies with respect to considerations for greenhouse gas reduction targets, cap and trade and carbon pricing provisions.
