Bill C-56, An Act to amend the Excise Tax Act and the Competition Act, in relation to grocery market conditions and competitive conditions in other federally-regulated areas, such as telecommunications, airlines and banking. Bill C-360, An Act to establish a national strategy to reduce the amount of wasted food in Canada - regarding the entire bill. Bill C-322, An Act to develop a national framework to establish a school food program - regarding the whole bill. Bill C-288, An Act to amend the Telecommunications Act (transparent and accurate broadband services information), in respect of broadband speed advertising and other consumer rules under the Telecommunications Act. Bill C-27, Consumer Privacy Protection Act, in respect of this bill's modification to consumer privacy standards under PIPEDA. Bill C-26, An Act respecting cyber security, amending the Telecommunications Act and making consequential amendments to other Acts, in respect of consumer confidentiality, privacy and other matters. Bill C-252, An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act (prohibition of food and beverage marketing directed at children), in respect of food retailing restrictions and advertising. Legislative initiatives that may involve or impact competitive telecommunications service providers, such as potential amendments to the Broadcasting Act and Telecommunications Act. Interpretation and implementation of the 2023 Government of Canada Telecom Policy Direction to the CRTC under the Telecommunications Act. All matters related to the Telecommunications and Broadcasting Acts, particularly as they relate to wholesale policies, competitive access to telecommunication facilities, and fostering sustainable competition. For telecommunications, this relates to wholesale telecommunications service regulations and policies such as those set out in CRTC Telecom Regulatory Policy 2015-326 and other CRTC decisions and initiatives that affect competitive telecommunication service providers. For broadcasting, this relates to broadcasting regulation and policies such as those set out in the CRTC’s series of “Let’s Talk TV” decisions. Access to bottleneck facilities and the fostering of sustainable competition under the Telecommunications Act. With respect to telecommunications, this relates especially to wholesale telecommunications services regulation.
