Advocate for place-based solutions to Canada’s biggest challenges, which support the region-specific mandates of public colleges and ensure local training needs are considered in policy development. Increase support to developing countries and other partner countries to build technical and vocational training capacity, strengthen skills development and education systems, and enhance Canada’s global education brand. Advocate for support for college-led research as a core component of federal research and innovation funding and policy. Discuss how colleges can support immigration programs, such as foreign credential recognition or international students, to meet Canada’s labour market needs, and share with officials impacts of policy changes on the college sector. Share with officials how colleges can support Canada’s training and workforce development needs to meet Canada’s biggest challenges. Share with officials the role of colleges and institutes in delivering high quality education for Canadians, and ensuring access to education for Canadians. Advance reconciliation through partnerships with Canada’s public colleges, institutes, CEGEPs, polytechnics, and Indigenous Institutes of Education. Promote the role and expertise of colleges in deepening Canada’s relationships with other countries. Promote the value of educational fair dealing in supporting colleges and institutes in their mandate to provide advanced skills and to enable them to better respond to the skills shortage. Increase investments and support to address colleges’ infrastructure needs to increase Canada’s training space and access in key high-demand fields that align with federal priority areas. Enable post-secondary institutions to obtain grants and loans to develop student housing projects, with additional supports for housing that supports students from vulnerable populations. Ensure Canada’s colleges and institutes have the necessary federal support to provide high-quality training for future healthcare professionals. Ensure the specific needs of institutions, including French institutions and those in minority linguistic communities, are taken into account when federal policies and programs are designed and delivered.

Regulation: Parliamentary and Senate sub-committees involving the treatment of Canadians with psychedelic or cannabis-assisted therapy. We plan to continue educating and informing government on psychedelic therapy regulations - across the world - offering better therapeutic outcomes for patients. Policies or Program: Dimensions will be aiming to secure its Interdisciplinary Clinic license through VAC to treat veterans with natural cannabis and psychotherapy. Legislative Proposal, Bill or Resolution: Any proposed legislation introduced that directly involves the treatment of veterans and/or other patients (mental health and addictions) with psychedelic and cannabis-assisted therapy.

Advocacy for federal support of digital/remote program delivery, increased youth employment pathways, and partnership on public awareness campaigns about the role of regulated career colleges. Promotion of employer-driven training, support for standardized national credential recognition (e.g., “Blue/Red Seal” programs), and advocacy for increased labour mobility and rapid response to workforce needs. Requesting equal access to input tax credits (GST/HST rebates) and inclusion in federal student aid, loan forgiveness, and repayment assistance programs, similar to public institutions. Support for a pilot program enabling international students at Regulated Career Colleges (RCCs) to qualify for Post-Graduate Work Permits (PGWP), linking study permits to in-demand jobs, enhanced quality assurance for international students, and anti-fraud measures in the regulated career college sector. Matching funding to support training for military personnel, their spouses, and dependents to secure in-demand jobs. Advocacy for expanding the Veterans Affairs Education & Training Benefit (ETB), developing scholarship programs for military spouses, and supporting veteran employment and transition strategies. The NACC is proposing an expansion to funding for active CAF members and veterans to support skills training and development for military personnel and their families. This includes potential expansions to the Education and Training Benefit for Veterans program.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act, in respect to any and all amendments or develoments of regulations that would impact RCMP members. Modernizing procurement processes as it pertains to RCMP operations. Advocating for RCMP benefits as administered by Veterans Affairs Canada. Bill C-29 Engagement on 'An Act to establish the Financial Crimes Agency and to make consequential amendments to certain Acts and regulations' as it relates to legislative changes that might impact policing and core function of RCMP Members, with the purpose of providing information and recommendations to guide future decisions. Bill C-31 Engagement on 'A second Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on November 4, 2025' as it relates to legislative changes that might impact policing and core function of RCMP Members, with the purpose of providing information and recommendations to guide future decisions.
