Sharing information about local program development to better prepare the workforce for changes in the economy and labour market, and seeking federal partnerships and financial support to extend existing initiatives and roll-out new programs in the areas of workforce development, skills training, micro-credentials and talent acceleration. Each of these initiatives are designed to support and align with the economic development and foreign direct investment priorities of Canada within the Metro Vancouver region.

Engage in discussions and consultations regarding the evolution of legislation, such as privacy, artificial intelligence and intellectual property laws that impact the competitiveness of marketing practices. Contribute insights to policy development aimed at growing Canada's digital economy to support competitiveness, including AI activities in the marketing sector. Engage in discussions regarding the evolution of privacy laws and regulations that impact marketing practices. Our aim is to contribute to the development of policies that effectively protect consumers while supporting innovation and economic growth in Canada's marketing sector. Competition Act: Discussions with government to ensure competition law and enforcement (with regards to deceptive marketing, misleading advertising provisions, and new measures related to competition in the digital economy) serves marketers and consumers.

Seeking government funding and support to expand and deliver job and skills learning opportunities for learners across Canada to help Canadians of all ages obtain the skills they need for high quality jobs and help maximize labour force participation.

Align new post-graduate work permit restrictions to provincial labour market needs, and ensure that colleges have sufficient lead time to put new credit programs in place to provide the training required. Work with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to discuss international student visa processing times and the need to expand the Student Direct Stream. Engage with government officials regarding skills training opportunities under the Skills for Success, Sectoral Workplace Solutions, and Just Transition programs. Engage Innovation, Science, and Industry Canada and PrairiesCAN to expand the AI Pathways Partnership project to develop capacity at NorQuest for learning surrounding AI and upskill learners. Engage in discussions regarding health human resources to identify opportunities to expand training and employment for Indigenous and newcomer health care providers. Engage Indigenous Services Canada in discussions regarding funding opportunities for Indigenous students in Alberta seeking academic upgrade. Engage Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada to expand the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program. Encourage flexibility in learning modalities to qualify for post-graduation work permits. Access federal funding for newcomer settlement services.
