Communications with federal officials concerning the regulatory framework, market access, and export mechanisms for Canadian-generated carbon credits in international markets. Communications with federal officials regarding policies and programs related to electricity supply, pricing, and infrastructure to support the operation and development of Direct Air Capture (DAC) facilities in Canada. Communicating with government officials about proposed federal investment tax credits under the Income Tax Act for carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) initiatives. Communicating with government officials about government funding for carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) initiatives. Communicating with government officials about emissions reductions initiatives, including carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) initiatives.

Work with the Government of Canada on commitments to purchase carbon dioxide removal services. Provide Finance Canada insights on opportunity to issue a directive to allow access to flow-through share programs for carbon capture and storage projects; including, but not limited to, direct air capture, ocean capture, in situ injection, and mineralization. Provide views for a policy decision by Finance Canada to allow access to the federal investment tax credit fro carbon capture, utilization and storage projects in Quebec.
