Advocating for emergency management and disaster mitigation support, and advocacy on the Public Safety Broadband Network. Advocating for sustained federal funding to support investments in public infrastructure.

Engagement with federal officials regarding trade policy and tariff measures, including surtax orders enacted under the Customs Tariff Act.

Discussion with officials on the need for government investment in Canadian-owned entities to expand the cold storage supply chain as a key solution for reducing food loss and waste and associated greenhouse gas emissions. Discussion with officials on the need for a framework to ensure that food and other perishable products can still move forward through ports and supply chains in the event of work stoppages or emergencies. Discussions with officials on the need for trade-enabling infrastructure and promoting free trade. Discussions with officials regarding regulations, policies, and programs impacting the cold storage industry.
