Defence and National Security: Discussions with government officials concerning federal defence and national security policies and programs for the use of commercial earth observation and other space-based technologies and services, as it relates to Arctic awareness, border and maritime surveillance, intelligence support, and other Canadian defence and security needs. Procurement / services vs systems: Discussions with government officials concerning federal policies and programs for procuring commercial space-based technologies and services, including service-based procurement rather than government-owned systems, as it relates to improving how Canada acquires earth observation and other space capabilities for defence, security, environmental and other public-sector needs.
