Seek support of this federal proposal and encourage ministers and government officials to raise and support the recommendation in discussions with federal counterparts as part of engagement leading up to the 2027 federal budget process. The objective is to accelerate critical and defence mineral projects and strengthen investment in Canada's critical minerals sector. Obtaining support for the Association for Mineral Exploration's recommendation that the Government of Canada expand eligible expenses under the Canadian Exploration Expense (CEE) framework to include engineering and feasibility study costs associated with advancing mineral exploration projects toward development.
